Interior Pages
The ability to flip through the pages of one of my books or a friend's book honestly makes my heart stutter and eyes water a bit. While I'm a stickler for in-depth details like font size, line spacing, etc., I believe a simple and clean format works best for fiction books.
One of the most common formats in a paperback is the page numbers centered on the bottom of the page and the author's name and book title centered on the top of the page (except on new chapters).

Some authors prefer the page numbers be placed in the top corner of the pages with the name and book title centered.

Another simple format I offer is starting new chapters on the right page, which means sometimes the left page might be blank when text from the previous chapter falls a tad short.
